This qualification is ideal for anyone working as a supervisor, team leader or line manager in the catering and hospitality industry. The HABC Level 3 Award is supervising Food Safety in Catering (QCF) is accredited and recognised internationally and has been developed to protect customers, brand reputation and profits. Anyone working in a supervisory position in the food industry is accountable for food safety and controlling food hazards. It is therefore vital that they are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to do their job effectively. This course is also suitable for those wishing to train lower level food safety courses, providing they have the relevant experience and a teaching qualification.

This Ofqual approved qualification has been developed specifically for insertion onto the Qualifications and Credit Framework with full support from People 1st, the Sector Skills Council for Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism. It is fully compliant with industry and regulatory standards and recognised by environmental health practitioners, auditors and other enforcement officers.

Entry Requirements

It is recommended that individuals looking to achieve this qualification first achieve a Level 2 certificate in Food Safety or equivalent and at least Level 1 in literacy or equivalent.

Assessment

The course is assessed by a 2 hour 60 question multiple-choice examination.
