In December 2014 the law regarding allergens in food changed and caterers are now required to document full allergen information relating to all their menu items. This will prove a challenge to many businesses that regularly change their product range or menus.
Are you ready for these changes? Are your staff aware of the major allergens in food and how to communicate them to consumers?
This 2-hour training course can be delivered at your own premises subject to numbers attending.
There are no prerequisites for this qualification but it is advised that learners have a minimum of Level 1 Literacy or equivalent.
Allergen Awareness Learning Objectives:
- Legislation changes
- Understanding the major allergens
- Communicating allergens to customers/consumers
- Recognising the signs of anaphylactic shock
Students are assessed by multiple-choice questionnaire
