OfficerCadet.com’s Merchant Navy Bears are raising funds for Seafarers UK

Bid for chance to win magnificent ‘Triple-E’ Lego kit donated by Maersk. Merchant Navy Bears is a project run by the OfficerCadet.com forum. The goal behind it is to help raise the profile of the industry, combat ‘Sea Blindness’ and promote the Merchant Navy as a viable career choice.

There are currently five Merchant Navy Bears, all with different ranks. A Captain Bear (currently in South Atlantic); a Chief Engineer Bear (doing charitable work); a Deck Cadet Bear (studying at Warsash); an Engine Cadet Bear (applying for sponsorship); and an ETO Cadet Bear.

Commented OfficerCadet.com’s ‘Guinessman’: ‘As a forum for Merchant Navy cadets, officers and families, we wanted the funds raised from this auction to go an organisation that provides the best support to seafarers, ex- seafarers and their families in their times of need.’

To bid please visit http://www.officercadet.com/ from 21-28 February 2014.
